Gypsy Rose Blanchard-Anderson is a famous Munchausen-by-proxy survivor from Springfield, Missouri. The world first learned about Blanchard when news broke that her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, had subjected Blanchard to years of physical, mental, and medical abuse.

After spending seven years in prison, Blanchard is a free woman, and the internet cannot get enough of her. But recently, she revealed some heartwarming news.
On July 9, three months after filing for divorce from Ryan Anderson, the 32-year-old took to YouTube to announce that she was expecting her first child with her ex-fiance Ken Urker. “I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant. Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025,” she announced
Blanchard posted about the news on Instagram, captioning her post, “We are proud to announce we are expecting our first child in January 2025.” The post featured many photos of the rekindled couple posing under a tree.
The Photos
In some photos, Blanchard is seen wearing a flowy white knee-length dress while posing with an ultrasound picture of their child. Urker was seen in these photos looking happier than ever. In other photos posted to Instagram, she is seen wearing a paisley multi-colored dress with Urker by her side.
Blanchard and Urker met in 2018 while she was serving her prison sentence in Missouri. The pair got engaged in 2019, but Urker called the engagement off in 2020. Blanchard and Urker reunited in April of 2024 after Blanchard’s separation from her first husband, Ryan Anderson. The pair seem genuinely happy and excited for what is to come.
Blanchard opened up about her pregnancy in a nine-minute YouTube video, stating that it was “unexpected.” She revealed that fans had already been speculating that she was pregnant. “I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now and I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant,” she said. Blanchard said she and Urker are “both very excited” to become parents in 2025.
The Announcement
“I know that there are going to be people that feel like I’m not ready to be a mother, and I don’t know if anyone’s really ready to become a mother; I don’t know anyone that said, ‘Okay, I’m ready. I’m doing this,'” she said.
Blanchard seemed emotional as she shared that she hopes to give her child “all of the things I wished I could’ve had when I was little.” She continued by saying, “All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby. I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”
The story quickly went viral, and Blanchard’s fans swarmed to the comments of her YouTube and Instagram accounts to share their joy with the couple.
